Some sections offer a “Use my location” button to sort results by distance. Your location is requested only if you press the button and stays on your device: it is not sent to our servers.
The site uses no profiling cookies and no statistics cookies. It only stores a few preferences and technical data in your browser: language, chosen comune, dismissal of the cookie notice, the origin of your visit (attached to your request if you fill in a form) and temporary copies of public data. You can delete them in your browser settings.
To show weather, maps and videos your browser connects to external services (Open-Meteo, CARTO, OpenStreetMap, unpkg, cdnjs and, only if you start a video, YouTube in no-cookie mode), which receive your IP address. Links to GetYourGuide are affiliate links: if you book, we may receive a commission, without passing on any data about you.
Data is handled through Vercel (hosting and statistics, United States), Supabase (database, servers in Brazil) and Resend (e-mail delivery, United States). Some data is therefore processed outside the European Union; for information on the safeguards in place, write to info@ilgarda.live.
Newsletter e-mail until you unsubscribe; contact requests for as long as needed to answer, and no longer than 24 months.
You can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your data, or receive a copy, and you can withdraw consent at any time, by writing to info@ilgarda.live. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (garanteprivacy.it).
