Where is Gargnano? Gargnano is a town of 2,680 inhabitants in the Province of Brescia, Lombardy, in the Lake Garda area. The town centre sits at 98 m above sea level, and the municipality covers 76.8 km².
Where is Gargnano
Gargnano stretches for several kilometres along the Brescia shore of the lake, between Toscolano-Maderno and Tignale, inside the Alto Garda Bresciano Park. The municipality includes the harbour of Gargnano, Bogliaco, Villa and hill hamlets such as Navazzo and Sasso.
There is no railway station: the most convenient ones are Desenzano del Garda and Brescia, followed by an intercity bus along the western Gardesana road (SS45bis). By car you arrive on the Gardesana, which north of Gargnano enters the tunnel section towards Limone. In season Gargnano and Bogliaco are stops of the Navigazione Laghi boats.

Lakeside villas, lemon houses and a historic regatta
Gargnano is the quietest, most secluded part of the Brescia riviera: a fishing harbour, villas facing the water and the terraces of old lemon houses climbing the slopes.
The town's recent history is tied to Villa Feltrinelli, Benito Mussolini's residence during the Italian Social Republic (1943–1945) and today a hotel. On the lakefront stands Palazzo Feltrinelli, used for courses and conferences by the University of Milan.
In the old centre, stop at the church of San Francesco, dating back to the 13th century, whose cloister has capitals decorated with citrus leaves and fruit — a reminder of the lemon growing that made this coast prosperous for centuries.
In Bogliaco stands the 18th-century Villa Bettoni, and every September it is the starting point of the Centomiglia, one of the lake's best-known sailing regattas, organised by the Circolo Vela Gargnano.
