Identity

The Scaliger castle and the lemon house by the harbour

Torri is a compact village around its harbour, dominated by the castle: one of the most harmonious towns on the Verona shore.

The Scaliger Castle, built in 1383 at the behest of Antonio della Scala, today houses a museum on the town's history, fishing, olive growing and the area's rock engravings. Next to the castle stands an 18th-century lemon house, among the oldest preserved on the lake.

Numerous rock engravings from different periods have been found on the rocks of the municipal area — evidence of the long history of settlement on the Verona shore.

In the hills, Albisano is known for the panoramic terrace by its church, with one of the widest views over the lake.
