The castle of Moniga is a well-preserved example of the medieval enclosure castle typical of the Valtènesi: a ring of walls that protected houses and inhabitants, still lived in today.
Moniga is one of the centres of Valtènesi Chiaretto, the rosé wine of the Brescia shore. Every year the village hosts Italia in Rosa, an event dedicated to Italian rosé wines.
